A Nourishing bed time routine

ONE EXAMPLE OR TEMPLATE TO WORK FROM

  • I invite you to make this your own! 
  • You will want to make sure that you start your bed time routine early enough to fall asleep at a reasonable time. I start mine at 8:30 pm!  

SCREENS OFF

Screen Time Complete (turn off all devices, including WiFi)

REVIEW NEXT DAY

Review goals/schedule/plan for the following day 

DIVINE SPARK & PRAYER OF PROTECTION

Consider if you want to Light a Candle and if you want to invoke an intention or prayer (or energy work) for protection and renewal for your home and sleeping space for the night. Perhaps you want to light some incense to support this energy as well as the energy of calm, peace and rest. 

MEDITATION/SLEEPING TEA

It can be nourishing for the body to drink teas that help the body relax, destress etc. I personally drink my Micro Aya tea about 45 minutes before bed because that works for me.  You may want to look into some nervine tea. 

INTEGRATE & REFLECT ON YOUR DAY - JOURNAL

I recommend that you spend even a few minutes journaling to process and integrate your day.  

READING AND/OR MEDITATIVE MUSIC

Some people find that reading or listening to something relaxing, or spiritual in nature can help with falling asleep. 

NOTES & ADDITIONAL IDEAS TO EXPLORE

  • BEDTIME STRETCHING/YIN YOGA - Some people benefit from light stretching and restorative yoga (that is not energizing) 
  • BEDTIME BATH (OR FOOT BATH)!  Experiment with soaking yourself (or your feet) in a nourishing bath (salt bath, or rose oil etc.) 
  • CRYSTALLINE CHARGING CAVE - You may want to imagine yourself in a crystalline charging cave when you sleep, invoking your guides to rebalance your energy body, perform what we sometimes refer to as "psychic surgeries" necessary to strengthen your system while you sleep.
  • CRYSTALS - What about crystals? Do you have any crystals you want to put around your sleeping space for protection, for calming?  If you don't have them, you can invoke the essence of the crystal in your prayer.
