DEEPENING INTO THE WATERS OF OSHUN 

• Oshun is a powerful Goddess from West Africa (what is currently known as Nigeria) although she is known and honored throughout much of West Africa.  
• Oshun came to the “New World” and now is embodied and honored throughout much of the Caribbean especially in Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica and elsewhere. 
• Oshun is a force of empowerment for women. She embodies Sacred Sexuality and women’s empowerment, self worth, wealth, money and is the very embodiment of Mother Earth.
• Oshun is an Ancient Embodiment of the Divine Feminine lineage.  
• The Greeks would identify her as Aphrodite, the planet Venus while the Egyptians would call her lineage the Lineage of Isis (the lineage of the Rose);
• In Christianity they would refer to her as the Virgin Mary, the Holy Mother. However she is also connected to the lineage of Mary Magdalene, the High Priestess (the lineage of the Rose);
